HTC Evo 4G Launches June 4th

According to many sites, including my favorite tech site Engadget.com, the HTC Evo 4G is launching on Sprint on Friday, June 4th!  I also got an email to that effect with the price for non-upgrade pricing.  Guess where I'm going to be bright and early that Friday morning?

So excited that we finally have information on the availability and pricing. Since I was a Day 1 Pre buyer and Sprint Premier, I was a little concerned that I wouldn't be eligible for an upgrade until the 6th, but Sprint.com says June 1. Awesome!

I was a day 1 buyer of the Pre myself last year and I plan to be a day 1 buyer of the Evo 4G as well. I actually prefer to order via the web so if it's available that way then I should have the Evo in my hands that following Monday morning. If it's not then I'm not above being at the closest Sprint store when they open up that morning.

Haha, I'm one of those people that can't wait until Monday. My big play was to go to the Sprint store that morning, but instead I went ahead and pre-ordered at Radio Shack (so I won't have to stand in line). Too bad Best Buy doesn't sell Sprint phones out here...

Eager to give Android a try, and I've already been researching apps. Why does June 4th seem so far away all of a sudden?
