Dust Under The Screen
Monday, April 19, 2010 at 11:20AM I've had the HTC Hero for almost three months now and there is one thing on the hardware front that has been annoying the crap out of me, dust under the screen! It had gotten so bad that it was an incredible distraction especially when trying to read anything on a white background, such as an ebook. A quick check of various online forums revealed that this is a common complaint with the Hero.
Thankfully, I have Total Equipment Protection with Sprint so I was able to bring the phone into one of their repair centers this morning on the way out to run some errands and get the problem fixed in about ten minutes.
The moral of this story is that if you are packing a smartphone type device it is very important to have an insurance policy on your phone! I'm covered through TEP in cases of damage, loss, or theft as well as minor things like phone cleanings.
