My Plans About The Apple Tablet

It's the night before the big announcements from Apple tomorrow and like many other techies out there I've been scouring the internet looking for more and more information about some has dubbed the "Jesus Tablet".  And I'm sure there are many tech geeks like myself looking at their budgets for the next few months and trying to figure out how to afford one of these new devices for themselves.

I've already got me a new iMac budget set up and I'm thinking that if the coming Apple tablet is inciting enough I may *GASP!* postpone the iMac purchase by a month or so in order to nab a tablet for myself.  I'll have to see this new thing in action before I make a decision.  Also I'll have to see what sort of wireless options are made available for it.  If it's just limited to Verizon and/or AT&T without WiFi for internet access then it will be a no-go issue for me.  With at least WiFi I'll be able to make do.  The price will have A LOT to do with my decision as well.  If it's priced, without a wireless 3G plan, at $500 then I'll probably grab one.  At $600 I'll have to do some serious considering of pros versus cons of the device.  Anything over $600 initially and I may have to pass this time around.  If by some weird circumstance Apple and Steve Jobs are doing some sort of Mother of all Fake Outs and this thing is offered with 3G or 4G access on ALL four national carriers (Sprint in my case) AND it's subsidized then I'm on board, hardly a question asked.

Of course I've heard of costs ranging from $500 unsubsidized by a cellular carrier up to $1000.  If Apple tries to sell this thing at $1000 then someone at Apple will need to loose their job for doing drugs.
